There wasn't enough wind really, but I wanted to get out on the water with
my new 'Stonker 157 Climax' board. Chris was already out with a bigger kite
and just about getting going, so I thought I'd give it a go. I did manage
to get to my feet a few times, but there just wasn't enough wind to get
going properly. I couldn't really evaluate the board in such conditions,
but at least it was good practise at launching the kite etc.
A guy called Miguel who is staying in Aber for a month or so was also out
with a smaller Wipika and a couple of guys who are often here at weekends
when out too, but even with their big kites and big directional boards they
couldn't get going properly.
Not a complete waste of time as I needed the practise as far as setting up
the kite etc goes, I did get to my feet and get going, and it was better
than doing nothing.
